The Rifle:

If your next hunting adventure takes you to Africa or Alaska, SISK Rifles will custom build a rifle in the caliber suited for the task.

All bolt action rifles are designed as “take-down” models.  The unique feature of the Traveling Sportsman is the ability of the rifle to be taken apart and reassembled with simple basic tools.  Components of the rifle are carefully chosen for their strength and durability.  For example,  the rifle is coated with CeraKote, the same coating Cessna uses in some new aircraft.  CeraKote helps ensure smooth surfaces, withstands high temperatures and cyclic rates, resist chemicals, oils and solvents, and protect against corrosion and abrasion in the field. 

SISK Rifles also suggests using the Leupold line of optics.  The aluminum (6061) used in the manufacturing of the optics is the same aircraft grade used by Beechcraft for some of their wing spars.

SISK Rifles took his years of experience building custom hunting rifles and combined it with his passion for flying.  Being a pilot himself, Charlie understands the need for products that work and ones that pilots have confidence in.

All Traveling Sportsman Aviation Kits will be custom packaged with the following components requested by the customer:

Once the rifle has been built, and the components selected for the aviation kit, Charlie will personally fly out and hand deliver your Traveling Sportsman schedule permitting.  He will provide hands-on training on the use of the rifle and detailed instructions on how to take down and reassemble the rifle as well as provide you custom hand loaded ammunition built for your next hunting adventure.
