This is a program from Dan Lilja at Lilja Rifle Barrels for computing barrel stiffness. In my opinion and experience, a barrel should not deflect more than .00275 to be accurate. By changing the barrel length and contours, it is easy to recognize that shorter barrels are stiffer and deflect less. Have fun with the program.
